The Youth Geneva Forum is a unique opportunity for young people aged 13 to 25, offering an experience that goes far beyond a simple United Nations simulation. Unlike traditional conferences, this forum incorporates a practical approach where participants can prepare online at their own pace before engaging in live debates. For instance, they can practice drafting resolutions, develop negotiation strategies, and familiarize themselves with global issues through interactive modules.
Once on-site, participants are immersed in a dynamic environment where they act as real players in an ethical business forum focused on sustainable development. They can propose innovative solutions to global challenges, collaborate with experts, and even influence simulated strategic decisions. This forum allows them to face the realities of the world of diplomacy and economics, while cultivating essential skills such as public speaking, negotiation, and critical thinking.
Finally, the Youth Geneva Forum offers tangible benefits for the participants’ futures. They can enrich their professional network by meeting thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and diplomats. Additionally, this practical experience gives them a significant advantage for their studies and future careers, allowing them to demonstrate their commitment and ability to work on complex global issues. By participating, they become change-makers, equipped with a deep understanding of contemporary challenges and meaningful experience in international diplomacy.
The Youth Geneva Forum offers a structured learning path with over 30 varied activities, divided into three levels of increasing difficulty. Each level is designed to progressively develop specific skills that participants must master before moving on to the next level. For example, at Level 1, participants can learn the basics of diplomacy and negotiation. Once these skills are acquired, they can access Level 2 activities, which focus on more complex challenges like conflict resolution or developing sustainable strategies. Finally, Level 3 allows participants to deepen their knowledge and apply their skills in real-world-like situations, such as simulating international negotiations or creating development projects.
This progression through levels encourages young people to return to the Youth Geneva Forum year after year to continue developing their skills and expanding their network. The forum is designed to be a recurring experience, allowing participants to return for two to five consecutive years, either on their continent or even across the globe, to further their knowledge and competencies. For example, a participant might start their journey in Europe and then continue their learning the following year in Asia or North America, gaining a global and diversified perspective on sustainable development issues.
By participating in the Youth Geneva Forum, young people acquire excellence techniques starting from adolescence, preparing them to become influential leaders well before reaching adulthood. This forum provides them with the tools needed to act concretely and immediately on global challenges, while nurturing their potential to shape the future. They thus join the next generation of leaders, armed with solid experience and a clear vision for a better future, ready to make a difference on the international stage today.
