Olivia Kotsifa

Olivia is a designer and an education specialist for SDG related activities, technology and design based, for kids and adults.
She has 14 year experience in the education sector as a University senior lecturer (architecture - design) consultant, educational designer, coordinator, manager, head of department in university.
She is passionate about creative projects encouraging critical thinking, interdisciplinarity and empathy and advocates the SDGs by generating original creative sessions for meaningful making, value-driven activities that promote sustainability, inclusion and well being

She is the founder of Fab Lab Cardiff (2011) a research and education digital fabrication hub for students, academics and the public, and also a mentor for other Labs and makerspaces in the UK. She is also part of Decode Fab Lab in Athens, Greece, responsible for international projects and collaborations. 
Between 2016-2019 Olivia has been a creative digital nomad, working remotely or working on site specific projects in collaboration with local Fab Labs and communities around the world.
She believes that mobility has a valuable impact in the future of education and work, and supports it through her academic, design and consulting work while travelling.
She founded SYN Fab Lab in 2021, the first mobile Fab Lab in Greece that focuses in co-creating societal change.
Olivia is part of the Fab Lab network since 2009.
